“A Fair Share of War” chronicles the history of Colonel Burks’ 33 years as a professional soldier. He credits the inspiration for this book to his fellow soldiers, our nation’s many great and good leaders and the system that prevails. He dedicates the effort to chronicle his career to those equally dedicated but goal denied peers who fell in WWII, Korea and Vietnam.
